White and black

By now, you are a good chess player. Mate and stalemate, attacking and defending – you can do it all!

You have made a lot of lessons, in which you've come up with a whole bunch of tricky chess moves. But have you noticed that up to now, you were always playing white?

That’s a bit funny. Because in a game, you either play white or black. If you play black, you have to think of smart moves for Black. In this lesson, we give it a first try.

Have a look at example 1. It shows the starting position for Black. Watch Black’s first move in the game.

In example 2, Black has to come up with a smart move.

Time to get started!
